Lubbock County - Court Residential Treatment Center

CHA was originally hired to perform a Facility Assessment on the existing Lubbock County CRTC.  The primary goal of this assessment was to determine if renovations to the existing facility would be sufficient for the current and future needs, or if a brand-new facility would make more sense for the County.  During the assessment, it became clear that the biggest issues with the CRTC was age and inefficient layouts of the existing spaces.  After the Facilities Assessment, CHA was then directed to develop a new Master Plan for a complete ‘gut and renovation’ of the existing facility.  In order to meet the facilities resident needs, as well as the counties budgetary requirements, the Master Plan was divided into five phases of construction consisting of new classrooms, sleeping ‘Pods’, counselors offices, kitchen, dining, and administrative spaces. The project is scheduled to be completed by the Spring of 2022.
